IN EVERYTHING

Every November in the United States a day of celebration is set aside!
Families and friends gather.  Traditionally great large meals are served. "Thanksgiving
Day" is to honor the pilgrims who first came to the United States and survived
the first winter. "Thanksgiving Day" is more than a holiday once a year in
America!

The apostle Paul wrote in I Thessalonians 5:18, "In everything give thanks:
for this is the will of God..."  Thanksgiving is a lifestyle!

The words of Hebrews 13:15, 16 say, "By Him therefore let us offer the
sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving
thanks to his name.  But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such
sacrifices God is well pleased!  Four facts of thanks are clear from these
words:

1. Thanksgiving has great meaning when it is SHARED

2. Thanksgiving has great meaning when it is SPOKEN.

3. Thanksgiving has great meaning when it is SUSTAINED.

4. Thanksgiving has great meaning when it is SHOWN.

The challenge of most people is to remember.  The answer to the problem
of forgetfulness is thankfulness!

Below, Author Neil Esklin shares his great motivation insites on 'Thanks" from
his daily "jumpstart" sessions.  Enjoy his words and put into daily lifestyle
the power of "IN EVERYTHING...GIVE THANKS..."

"I'm looking for ways to communicate to my associates that they are excelling." -
George J.

There are a variety of ways to tell people they're doing a great job.

"I give them a raise," said the director of a day care center. The money always
helps, yet raises are often expected and don't convey much meaning. In today's
environment, people desire more.

Try these additional ways to say "thanks." 1. Thank people personally - give a
one-to-one expression of appreciation. 2. Thank people publicly - they may
pretend to be embarrassed, yet they love the applause. 3. Thank people on
paper - there is nothing quite like the impact of something you have personally
written.

Your gratitude doesn't need to be elaborate or expensive. It can be as simple as
a handwritten note or a message sent by email. One manager makes it a habit to
read positive letters received from customers at staff meetings.

Today, say "Thanks."
