IT'S A
MATTER OF THE HEART
The Houston Chronicle newspaper ran an interesting picture on its
cover page! A man was pictured standing with a lady leaning her head
against his chest.
At first glance the photo would seem odd, except for the reason the lady
was in that position.
The man had recently went through a heart transplant. The lady was
listening to the beat of the donated heart. It was the donated heart
of her own son.
Since 1990 the HeartMath Institute of California has studied and concluded
that the central motivating factor of our lives is the heart.
Dr. Pearsall, one of the founders has published his research that the heart,
not the brain, determines a person's behavior, beliefs and how they respond
to the world. HeartMath's studies showed just as the brain has
memory,
so does the heart!
They ran some tests on heart transplant patients and noted changes after
the transplant:
*A man who received a heart of a person hit by a train - would wake up to
nightmares of being hit by a train.
*A donor was killed by gunfire. The recipient would feel burning
sensations
in his body after the transplant.
*One 52 year-old man received the heart of a teen. No longer did he have a
love for classical music, but rock music too!
Have you ever wanted a change of heart?
*never be influenced by what you hear?
*never be influenced by what you see?
*never be influenced by what you feel right now?
Have you ever wanted a new heart?
You must find resolutions to your problems.
Place yourself around people of excellence and
you can attain wonderful life memories. The new
memories can be grater than old memories of
disappointments.
It's a matter of your heart. It's time for new memories
to be made. The Bible gives that starting point! In
Psalms 51:10-12 the account says, "Create in me a clean
heart, O God: and renew a right spirit in me. Cast me not
away from they presence; and take not they holy spirit from
me. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation: and uphold
me with they free spirit."
If a picture was taken of someone listening to your
heartbeat, what would they hear?
It's a matter of what is in your heart!
