PLAN AHEAD for 2007!

I would like to ask you to put a date on your 2007 calendar for missions planning!

Two years ago we launched and hosted a cost effective Missions Weekend Retreat!

This past weekend we held the 2^nd Missions Gathering Retreat in Woodbridge, Virginia. There were teams of people from Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. Chris Weber, one of our interns, flew in from Kansas City, Missouri and Deborah Wilson came in from Dallas, Texas.

In the next year we will have our 3^rd event on February 23-25, 2007. This will be held at the Family Worship Ministries Church in Troy, North Carolina.

The entire focus of the weekend is for students and leaders to be a people of mission. It’s about looking on the outside of our lives, “…the harvest is ready, the workers are few, pray for the Lord to send workers into the harvest field…”

I believe one weekend set aside can help people for an entire year.

As a church leader, please include this event on your church calendar for youth and their leaders.

Pastor Wallace Phillips of Ahoskie, North Carolina who came to Woodbridge said, “I was honored to be a part.  I was refreshed.  You are kind to have affirmed our ministry.”

Mirachelle Canada of Christ Chapel in Woodbridge, Virginia said, "Thank you for a great Friends Forever weekend! We had a lot of fun and are more invigorated than ever to touch the hearts and lives of the children of Jamaica and El Salvador. It was a real 'tug at the heart strings, now let's move to do something' time."

That is what we want to do. Affirm the work of the harvest in your ministry.
